Samsung: Celebrating 50 Years
The Challenge
To celebrate the 50th anniversary Samsung wanted to created a campaign that reignited people’s love for the brand and take pride in owning their devices.
The Solution
Samsung launched an S10 smartphone into space enabling consumers to enter a promotion to see their face in space with the first ever #SpaceSelfie.
The campaign, created by sister agency BBH London, used people not paid media to promote, activate and generate coverage. Publicis Sport & Entertainment’s task was to secure global talent to help celebrate and amplify 50 years of Samsung and the first ever #SpaceSelfie.
To promote the campaign we negotiated and managed ambassador agreements with Cara Delevingne, Son Heung-Min and Mina El Hammani.
Impact
Samsung content out-performed other brand partner posts and were significantly ahead of target with 41.6M interactions, and an ROI of 3.5 : 1 vs talent investment.
