Barista Blend (Blue Diamond Growers): Coffee Counter Culture

Blue Diamond’s Barista Almond Milk was made for great coffee, and the baristas who make it. But to earn its place behind the counter, it needed more than neutral taste, great stretch and perfect foam. Increasingly, the look has to pull its weight too. So we designed Blue Diamond Barista to feel part of barista culture from day one.

 

We began by bringing Blue Diamond’s co-operative, grower-owned story to the front of pack. At the centre of each carton, we created an unmistakable brand emblem: a symbol of partnership between ‘Shakers’ (every almond is shaken, literally, from the tree) and ‘Creators’, grower and barista in partnership.

And around it, a suite of supporting illustrations that bring coffee culture to life with lo-fi woodcut grain, line and from-the-orchard character. The aesthetic extends across every touchpoint, all rendered in a distinctive blue and white palette that nods to dairy codes and Blue Diamond equity.

A new to market Blue Diamond brand, built from the ground up to stand out behind the bar – and feel fluent in coffee culture, too.
