Publicis Media hires chief technology officer
- July 23, 2024
Publicis Media has hired Andy Cabirdassou as chief technology officer.
Cabirdassou previously worked at Group M’s EssenceMediacom UK, where he was executive vice-president, global data science and innovation. He has also held roles at Stride Gaming Group, Elevate and Direct Line Group.
He will report directly to Niel Bornman, chief executive and chief product and solutions officer at Publicis Media UK.
Bornman also joined from Group M in October 2023, and the CTO role is one of the first leadership-level appointments he has made since starting the role.
Cabirdassou will lead a centralised team delivering tech, data, product and AI strategies for Publicis Media agencies Zenith, Starcom and Spark Foundry, as well as its performance marketing division, Performics.
Bornman called Cabirdassou a “standout leader”. He said Cabirdassou’s background in “spearheading transformational work and growth for brands through technology will be key to helping our clients break new ground and shape their future success”.
When Bornman joined Publicis Media UK, Campaign reported that leveraging tech and data for product growth would be a crucial part of his dual role.
It is understood that the CTO role has been created to make tech more accessible to clients.
Carbidassou added that his “immediate focus” was on building Publicis Media’s “impressive wins” and momentum through “innovative and scalable tech solutions”.
He said: “I can’t wait to get started, working alongside Niel and the team to set new standards of excellence in our industry.”
